Mike Colyer
Chief Executive Officer
Mike joined Foundry as its founding CEO in October 2019. Foundry focuses on empowering decentralized infrastructure with over 170 employees and runs the largest Bitcoin mining pool in the world. Previously, Mike concentrated on business development at Core Scientific, which is now North America’s largest cryptocurrency miner and hosting company. He was the President and COO of Savage IO, a small, Western NY-based 3MW mining company. Mike has spent the last 5+ years navigating the large-scale mining space, building strong relationships with key industry participants. Before his pivot into the crypto industry, Mike was an operational and commercial executive for manufacturing and distribution firms for more than two decades, often serving at the behest of private-equity backers. Mike started his career at GE. In 2007, Mike and his wife, Lisa, co-founded the Clairebear Foundation, a non-profit that supports families with sick children. Mike graduated in 1996 from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and an MBA in Corporate Finance.

Dan Magnuszewski
CTO
Dan Magnuszewski is an entrepreneur, software engineer, mentor, and investor from Buffalo, NY. He began his career as a systems administrator at M&T Bank following high school and graduated with a degree in computer science from the University at Buffalo in 2005. Early on in his career, he became heavily involved in the WNY tech community and in 2012 he joined and helped launch Z80 Labs, a startup incubator and $5mm seed fund in Buffalo. In 2015, Dan cofounded ACV Auctions, a dealer-to-dealer marketplace for used vehicles, and served as the CTO until June of 2021. During those years, ACV experienced hypergrowth as they rapidly scaled the business. In total they raised a combined $350 million in venture capital, and in March of 2021, ACV Auctions successfully went public on the NASDAQ. Dan went back to school to the University at Buffalo to study Machine Learning and continued to advise and invest in local startups. Dan has been learning and interested in crypto since 2012 and fell deep down the rabbit hole in 2016. Over the years he has helped start many blockchain and crypto groups, meetups and even created an official course at University at Buffalo on Ethereum and Solidity. Dan is excited to be bringing his diverse background and experiences to Foundry and helping to build the next generation of blockchain infrastructure and products.

As CFO, Licia is responsible for Foundry’s financial accounting, reporting and business analysis. She has held senior operations and financial roles at global manufacturing firms and in startup environments. Having experienced several M&A cycles at those businesses, Licia has integrated systems and business processes across firms. Licia began her career at E&Y, as an external auditor, and holds undergraduate degrees in accounting and computer science. Juri joined Foundry in March 2021. He comes from Fidelity Investments, where he spent 8 years, most recently as the Director of Bitcoin Mining, building and managing the company's self-mining operation. Prior to that he held research, strategy, and product management roles at Blockchain Incubator within Fidelity Center for Applied Technology. Before that he worked in Fidelity’s internal management consulting unit working on the most strategic projects for the firm's senior leadership, including the Bitcoin/Blockchain strategy project in 2015. Juri graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics.

Joe has led Foundry’s Staking business as well as productizing other areas of the business.

Since entering the crypto mining industry in 2014, Kevin has built large-scale bitcoin mining facilities, and worked closely with mining equipment manufacturers, mining pools, and datacenter operators. He held senior positions overseeing mining operations at Greenidge Generation and Bitcoin.com. Kevin started his career at Ford Motor Company, after studying finance, international business, and Chinese at Indiana University. An avid gamer, Kevin credits World of Warcraft with sparking his interest in digital currencies.

MK joined Foundry as SVP, Infrastructure. MK has over 25 years of experience in establishing strategic global supply chain strategies and manufacturing/distribution operations for several PE Portfolio companies such as Saxco International, LLC., Keystone Automotive Operations, Inc., and VWR International, Inc. He has also held positions of increasing responsibilities at other multinational corporations such as Textron, Inc., GE, and Alcoa. MK was most recently VP, Supply Chain and Operations, Arnott Performance division at Arnott, LLC. Prior to that, he was an Operating Partner with Forsyth Advisors offering Senior Level Strategic Sourcing expertise to middle market companies. MK is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Bangalore University, India. He has a Master’s in Manufacturing Technology from the University of Southern Mississippi and is a graduate of the Textron Global Leadership Forum from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is also a certified Six Sigma Master Black-belt from GE. MK’s hobbies include hiking, reading and cooking. He resides with his wife in Orange County, California.

He currently lives in Pittsford with his wife and two children.

For 18 years prior, Adam was the founder and CEO of an enterprise grade full stack custom software development firm which specialized in building large scale e-commerce/ transactional systems for multiple industries including Energy, Homebuilders and Active Lifestyle brands. His firm’s clients included Specialized Bicycles, Meritage Homes, Haliburton, Powdr and Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). Adam led his firm to a successful exit and went into semi-retirement focused mostly on investing, trading and staking within the crypto ecosystem until Foundry pulled him back to lead the business development side of staking. Adam also sits on multiple boards in his hometown of flyover country USA. And when he’s not focused on crypto he is an avid fly fisherman, bow hunter, drone pilot and astrophotographer who was lucky enough to be part of a team which discovered 2 extra solar planets in 2012.

Stephanie is responsible for the HR function at Foundry including helping acquire talent for our growing busines and supporting the engagement and culture efforts. Stephanie is an experienced HR professional who has worked for large corporate organizations across many industries, as well as small family-owned businesses and start-ups. Stephanie never liked the saying, “It’s not personal; it's business.” She believes when you deal with human beings, it's always personal. To the extent that she can help companies convey positive and engaging messages and be part of cultivating a work environment that people are excited to be a part of, she feels she is doing business with purpose. Stephanie is a graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Labor Relations. Stephanie lives in Rochester, NY with her family.

Kyle joined foundry as Director of Public Policy in the Fall of 2021. He has held a variety of Federal and State Government positions, most recently working as Special Advisor for State Operations in the New York State Executive Chamber. Prior to his role in NY State government, Kyle spent most of his career serving as a US Intelligence Officer, which was preceded by a diplomatic post as Advisor to the Special Envoy for Guantanamo Bay Closure at the State Department. He is a former White House Fellow, during which time he worked across different national security and federal budgeting roles in the Obama Administration. Over the course of his career, he has lived and/or worked in over sixty countries and continues to bring Foundry’s forward-looking mission to the forefront of domestic and international affairs. He holds two Masters’ degrees in International Affairs and Public Health from Columbia University.

Adrian joined Foundry as its Director of Economic & Community Development in December of 2021. Adrian is a proud son and champion for Rochester NY, who previously created and oversaw the office of Workforce Development, Regional Talent Strategy, and Education Initiatives at the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce. Before his role as a civic leader at the Greater Rochester Chamber, Adrian spent much of his career serving in the United States Military. Adrian was an active-duty Marine for five years. During Adrian's time as a US Marine, he made two combat deployments to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). After his honorable discharge from the Marines, Adrian re-enlisted in the US Air Force Reserves, where he served for three years. Adrian joined the Foundry team because he believes in the socio-economic problem-solving power of decentralized infrastructure technologies, particularly for communities such as Rochester. Adrian graduated with an Associate of Science in Liberal Arts, with a concentration in Social Science from SUNY Monroe Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Yale University.

After 5 years, he learned about Foundry and was excited for the opportunity to bring his skill set to a fast growing start up that is helping to change finance around the world. Chris enjoys spending time with his friends and family and is an advocate for a local charity in Rochester, NY called IAC Kids, which offers financial support for families with children in the hospital.

Rick joined Foundry in December 2021 as Business Development Director for POW. Before joining, Rick was a founding shareholder in PostProcess Technologies, growing from a 3-person startup in 2015 to 40+ employees by 2018. Rick’s real passion for Bitcoin and cyber security led him on short stint in the cybersecurity space with Silo City IT before reconnecting with Mike Colyer to join Foundry Digital. Earlier in his career, Rick spent 10+ years in the investment business as a stockbroker and several years in traditional banking. Rick is a proud graduate of Clarkson University & SUNY Fredonia.

Nick Lane
Director, Business Development
Nick Lane joined Foundry as a Director of Business Development in January 2022 and is responsible for providing white glove service to Foundry’s clients. He comes from the University at Buffalo, where, for the previous 9 years, was an Associate Director in Corporate and Foundation Relations. In that role, Nick built the university’s sponsorship program, and worked with hundreds of businesses and corporations to build partnerships that raised money for the university. Nick holds a bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Law from Binghamton University, and a master’s degree in Philosophy from the University at Buffalo. Outside of work, Nick’s passion is pinball. He’s a collector, competitive player, and operates games on location in Buffalo.

Legal Counsel
As Legal Counsel, Khurram is responsible for advising Foundry’s leadership team on legal, compliance and regulatory matters. He is an experienced attorney in both the corporate leadership and law firm settings, with a demonstrated history of advising legal and business stakeholders of public and Fortune-ranked companies grow and sustain their value. Khurram began his career at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP as an associate in the Corporate & Securities department, after earning his Bachelor of Science degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology and Juris Doctor from Pace Law School. In his spare time, you will find Khurram watching basketball, exercising, or spending time with his family.

James Stanton
Manager, Customer Success
James joined Foundry in April 2021 as, Customer Success Lead, helping bridge the gap between sales and support across Foundry’s business lines and nurture current customer relations. In January 2022 James was promoted to Manager, Customer Success to oversee and develop the Customer Success department at Foundry. Prior to joining Foundry, James worked in the HCM software space as a SaaS Account Executive for private, public and VC funded startup organizations. James is a graduate of St. John Fisher College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. James resides in Avon, NY with his wife and son where he enjoys working outside, visiting local craft breweries, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills in his free time.
