About Avalanche

An open, programmable smart contracts platform for decentralized applications

Avalanche is a smart contracts platform with a rapidly growing ecosystem. As a Layer 1 solution, Avalanche is built for the scale of global finance, with near-instant transaction finality.

It separates itself from other layer 1 networks through its consensus protocol. The Avalanche consensus protocol was designed with key features in mind, such as, speed, scalability, security, flexibility, sustainability, smart contract support, ability to create private and public blockchains, and designed for finance. It’s is also EVM-compatible which means Solidity-based Ethereum applications can be easily deployed on the Avalanche network.

Avalanche FAQ

How do I stake AVAX with Foundry?

Avalanche has an open delegation model. This means that anyone who holds AVAX in a staking-enabled wallet can delegate their AVAX to Foundry’s validator in a permissionless and anonymous fashion*. If you would like to delegate your AVAX to Foundry, please contact us.

If you have questions about AVAX staking, need assistance acquiring funds and/or already hold AVAX with a custody provider, please reach out to us at [email protected]. We’ll help guide you through the process!

*Avalanche validators, such as Foundry, can only have 80% of their total stake come from delegations. Moreover, validators can’t increase their own stake in the middle of the staking period so it’s possible that there will be periods where we cannot accept new delegations.

Is there a minimum required to stake AVAX?

Delegators must delegate a minimum of 25 AVAX.
